Startup Embassy is based in Palo Alto, heart of Silicon Valley.
The community is growing steadily and we need a full time house manager. This person will handle the real day-to-day work of managing Startup Embassy – including being host to our steady stream of guests, managing events, bookings, etc.
We are looking for someone who is incredibly organized and knows how to get shit done. You plan trips 6 months in advance, your Dropbox is organized into sub-folders and color-coded, and your favorite thing is crossing shit off your to-do list. In Sharpie.
More importantly, you deeply value relationships, you’re honest to the point of awkwardness, you do things just because you think they’ll be difficult, and you believe in the power of community to make you better.
(*) It’s very important to note that being a house manager is a 24/7 commitment. We’re looking for someone who loves being surrounded by entrepreneurs. Someone who would enjoy sharing long night conversations with like-minded individuals. It’s up to the manager to decide when to have free time. Some days there’s a lot of work to be done as people are getting in and out. Other times there’s plenty of idle time. The manager should be responsible enough to manage his/her time, giving always priority to Startup Embassy.
